- Striped top: JCPenney
- Cardigan: JCPenney
- Pencil Skirt: JCPenney
- Shoes: Guess, DSW
I stopped at JCPenney this week to check out the changes in the store since they instilled their new Fair and Square program. Have you heard of it?
Essentially, the new pricing plan is supposed to put an end the confusion of multiple discount programs, perfect off sales, and promotions.
I admit, it was refreshing to know that the price on the tag was the price I’d pay. While I love a good ‘bargain’, I’ve never enjoyed the hoops I’ve had to jump through to get them. It’s always a pain to have to wait for a ‘one day’ sale or carry around coupons and discount codes, always wondering if I would have gotten a better deal by waiting just a few more days for the items I wanted to go on clearance.
I was able to find this black skirt, which I needed, and this emerald green cardigan, which I’ve wanted for quite some time. The striped top just happened to match, and since it has some of my favorite colors in it (hello, turquoise!) I knew it would be versatile for me.
When I went to pay for the items I realized I hadn’t activated my new JCPenney credit card yet, and the cashier asked if it was a new account.
Hardly.
I actually laughed out loud when I had to tell her I’ve had a JCPenney card now for…
(wait for it….)
at least 20 years!
Yikes.

Very nice – love the color combination.
Hey, You’ve been MIA for a couple of weeks! Glad to see you are back to the blog.
I love the green and black together. I love JC Penney too! I’m going to have to check out their new pricing.
I’ve been hearing a lot about all of the new stuff going on at JCPenny lately. Maybe I should check it out. Also, I love that sweater. I just found a new bright green sweater myself after looking for what seemed like forever!
Also so glad you are back posting. Green and blue together looks so nice together. You look beautiful! I also look for sale prices, and it does get exhausting trying to figure out when to buy or wait or take the risk that it will be gone. I like what JC Penney is doing. Very smart. Maybe other stores will take note!
Hey there! I know you and I have talked about this before. I love the way the new CEO (formerly of Target and Apple) has restructured the pricing over there. Hubby loves to shop at JCP, so he has been really happy with $15 polos and $9 sweater vests!
Wondering were you had gone
I have never been a JC Penney customer, I do go in there and have picked up a few pieces but it’s not my go-to-store.
I love JCP! Great outfit, I would have picked the same pieces!
i have been reading about the jcp overhaul
looks like it is all true
great outfit

Nice to see you Natalie … hope alls good over on you side. You look fabulous in this emerald green … I’m so not into green because i wore it my entire school life as our uniforms were varying shades and patterns with green.
Hugs
Hi Natalie,
I hope you’re well. It’s more than a month since you posted so I trust all is okay and you’re too busy and having too much fun to post.
Hello…
I really miss your posts! Where have you gone? Come back soon!
