So, it’s Spring Break here and my kids have over 2 weeks off from school. They’re excited, and while I’m excited from the time off from homework duty and getting up early to help them get ready, I know that by the middle of the first day they’ll be asking me for ideas of things to do, and they never like any of MY ideas – probably because the first thing that always comes out of my mouth is to clean their bathroom.
But not all my ideas involve cleaning. Last weekend my husband and older son went on a Scout camp out, and when my younger son picked my brain for things to do, I really thought I’d come up with some good suggestions.
“Mom, can’t you just try to be fun?” he demanded, rolling his eyes.
So, I guess not.
Speaking of fun, the fire pit is up and running. The kids have had friends over and we’ve cooked marshmallows and hot dogs over it. It’s definitely not as effective as a wood burning fire pit would be, but we don’t miss that smoky smell and know that we’ll still be able to use it in summer months without getting absolutely cooked ourselves.

Love this look!
That’s a great skirt!
Natalie…..the of the cardigan is a perfect color on you; its gorgeous with your hair and coloring. Love the skirt and the entire outfit.
Wow, your kids get that much time off for spring break? Nice!
You look so beautiful in this outfit. Great hair too
Natalie THAT’s what I call a fire pit ! wow
I like this printed skirt and your hair is looking gorgeous. Well, actually you are one of the very few people who do not seem to ever have a bad hair day.
Thanks, Lorena! Your comment about my hair cracks me up. Lately I’m only posting my Sunday outfits, so my hair is usually done, but during the week, my hair isn’t always so done.
